It Started with a Sign.
The VoxStop story began in Australia, born out of a simple, universal frustration: the “No Junk Mail” sign on our letterbox was being ignored.
It seems like a small thing—a piece of paper in a box. But it represented something larger: a complete lack of respect for personal boundaries. That same week, dinner was interrupted three times by “market research” calls, despite our numbers being on the Do Not Call Register.
We realized that privacy laws in Australia—like the Privacy Act 1988 and EPA distribution standards—are actually quite robust. The problem wasn’t the law; the problem was enforcement.
The Asymmetry of Power.
Why do we let companies invade our peace? Because fighting back is exhausting.
To stop a single telemarketer requires noting the time, the number, and lodging a formal complaint with ACMA. To stop junk mail requires hunting down the specific distribution network (IVE, Salmat, or local independent) and filing a breach notice.
Corporations have automated systems to spam you. You have… your spare time. This asymmetry allows them to win by attrition. They bank on the fact that you have a job, a family, and a life, and that you won’t spend 45 minutes on hold to cancel a subscription.
Changing the Dynamic.
We built VoxStop to level the playing field. We created a legal framework that allows us to act as your Authorized Representative.
This is the core of our innovation. We are not just a piece of software that blocks a number. We are a legal entity that steps in front of you. When we speak to a company, we do so with the full weight of the Privacy Act behind us.
We employ real human agents—former compliance officers, paralegals, and customer service experts—who know exactly what to say to get your data deleted and your subscriptions cancelled. We do the dirty work so you can enjoy the silence.
Our Code of Ethics
We operate in an industry where data is often weaponized against the user. Unlike “free” apps that secretly monetize your habits, our architecture is built on a foundation of absolute privacy. We don’t just follow the law; we set a higher standard for digital integrity. Your peace of mind is our only product.
Customer Sovereignty
We charge a subscription fee because that is our only revenue stream. We do not sell data. We do not accept “whitelisting fees” from advertisers. We work for you, and only you.
Data Minimization
We only ask for the data required to execute your requests. If we are cancelling a gym membership, we need your name and member ID. We do not need, and will not ask for, your life history.
Total Transparency
You can see exactly what we are doing on your behalf. Every letter sent, every call logged, and every interaction is recorded in your dashboard. You retain full oversight.
Meet The Agents
VoxStop agents aren’t generic call centre workers reading from a script. They are Australian-based specialists trained in consumer law, negotiation, and privacy compliance.
Sarah J.
Sarah is a former paralegal who spent 5 years in corporate compliance. She knows the specific legal language required to bypass the initial rejection emails sent by Data Privacy Officers.
Marcus T.
Marcus worked in a major Telco’s ‘Save Team’ for 4 years. He wrote the scripts they use to keep you from cancelling. Now, he uses that insider knowledge to dismantle their arguments.
Elena R.
Elena specializes in the technical side of spam. From tracing junk mail distribution routes to identifying VOIP patterns used by illegal call centers, she builds the evidence packs we send to regulators.
