Common Questions
⚠️ Will I need to provide SMS codes?
Yes. For security, many companies (like Telcos and Banks) will send a One-Time Password (OTP) to your mobile even when speaking to an authorized agent. If this happens while we are on the phone with them, we will message you via the VoxStop app to get the code. We cannot proceed without it.
Why is there a waitlist?
Unlike software-only blockers, VoxStop uses real Australian Authorized Agents to process cancellations. To maintain our high success rate and low response times, we strictly limit the number of active cases our team handles at one time.
Why is the Authority plan $45/mo?
Quality human labor is expensive. Cancelling a gym membership or fighting a data broker often requires 45-60 minutes of agent time on the phone. We pay our Australian staff fairly to ensure they fight hard for you.
How does the “Letter of Authority” work?
During signup, you digitally sign a “Letter of Authority” (LOA). This is a standard document recognized by the Privacy Act that empowers our staff to speak to Service Providers on your behalf. It’s strictly administrative—it lets us do the talking.
Do I need to give you my passwords?
Generally, no. Because we act as your Authorized Representative, we verify our authority using the LOA document and your ID details (Name, DOB, Address). We do not log in to your accounts; we contact the company’s support team directly.
Why is this better than a free blocker app?
Free apps only block the number after it calls you. They don’t stop the spam at the source. VoxStop uses administrative processes to force companies to remove your details from their lists permanently.
Can you cancel ANY contract?
We can cancel most consumer service contracts (Gyms, Telcos, Internet, Streaming, Insurance). We cannot cancel government debts, tax obligations, mortgages, or court-ordered payments.
Is my data stored in Australia?
Yes. We are 100% Australian-owned. All client data is encrypted and stored in Sydney-based data centres. We do not offshore your data.
What if a company ignores your request?
If a company ignores a formal request from an Authorized Representative, they are likely breaching industry codes. We compile an “Incident Log” of the correspondence and escalate the matter to the relevant ombudsman or regulator (OAIC, ACMA, or TIO) on your behalf.
Does this work for Business (ABN) numbers?
VoxStop is designed for personal consumers. The Do Not Call Register and certain consumer protections do not always apply to business numbers. We recommend the “Sentry” plan for basic screening, but full representation is for individuals only.
Is there a lock-in contract for VoxStop?
No. You can cancel your VoxStop subscription at any time via your dashboard. We believe you should stay because the service works, not because you are stuck.
Can I use this if I live overseas?
No. Our authority is derived from Australian regulations (Privacy Act, Spam Act). We can only represent residents of Australia with Australian accounts.
